About
It all began back in 2021, when Thomas became a father to a baby girl. Like many new parents, he wanted to share those small but meaningful moments – the first smiles, the first steps, and the everyday memories that quickly turn into cherished treasures – with his family, who lived across Jutland and Funen.
There were plenty of ways to share pictures and videos: Facebook Messenger, Dropbox, Google Drive – the list goes on. But they all had the same fundamental problem: the data wasn’t necessarily his own. Who really owned those images once they were uploaded? And what would happen to them in 5 or 10 years? On top of that, most of these solutions lacked the social element – the ability to comment, react, and be part of the conversation. Dropbox and Google Drive were fine for uploading files, but they didn’t offer that warm, interactive experience where friends and family could follow along and respond.
Thomas had spent his career deeply involved in the world of technology. Most recently as CTO at LendMe, where he was part of the journey from startup all the way to the company’s sale in 2022. With that experience – and a solid technical toolkit – he set out to build his own solution, tailored exactly to the needs he and many other parents had. The result became Wonders.
What is Wonders?
Wonders is a deliberately different kind of platform. An anti-social network, if you will. Here, algorithms and ads don’t decide what you see – only the people you actively choose to invite into your moments. You can’t just “follow” anyone; you have to be invited. This means the content you see is always relevant, personal, and safe.
Wonders is made for sharing the small and big moments of your wonders – whether that’s your children, a long trip abroad, a wedding, or another special event. It’s not a place for polished, filtered photos or the chase for likes. It’s a space for genuine, unfiltered glimpses of life, just as it happens.
The focus is simple: it should be easy – and safe – to share with the people who matter most to you.
What is a space?
A space is the heart of Wonders. Think of it as a private timeline where only invited people can follow along. You can create your own space, invite exactly who you want, and fully control who can add new content. This gives you complete control over both your audience and what gets shared.
You can be part of one space or a hundred – it’s entirely up to you. Maybe you have a space for your family, one for your friends, one for wedding planning, and another for your colleagues’ inside jokes. Each space has its own life and atmosphere, and you decide who’s along for the journey.
